Board Meeting 2/9/24
The Board reviewed the 2024 Board Plan , with emphasis on the role of
14 Board members and 51 Alliance Advisors . The following officers were
nominated and approved for 2024.

Vice President- Andres Zapata
Treasurer – Tina Garyantes
Secretary – Gary Engelstad
Communications Officer – Christine Dickler
The Board reviewed status of our 5 Strategic Goals for 2024.
Membership , Small Business Success, Vibrant Main Street ,
Community Connections and Organization Impact .
The Board discussed strategies to grow membership to 260, a focus on
Main Street Improvements and new off season events, designed to boost
businesses .
The Board reviewed final 2023 Financials, a slight deficit funded
through reserves. Financials are posted on website. The Board discussed
2024 Financials- Budget and Funding.
The Board discussed pending 2024 Memorandum of Understanding and
potential requirements for BBBCA event permits and approvals. The Board
reviewed Borough Community Events plan for 2024.
Board Meeting 3/15/24
The Board reviewed our collaborative partnership with the Borough, Mayor
and Council, with a focus on our 2024 Events, Main Street and support of
Bradley Beach priorities as well as pending 2024 Memorandum of
Agreement.
The Board reviewed status of 5 Strategic Goals in 2024.
Membership Growth, Benefits and Involvement
Growth of 10 Members in 2024 to date or 240. Successful new
member event on 3/14 at UVA yielded pledge to join from four new
members. Strategies include outreach to new home buyers.
Small Business Success
Boost Bradley Beach - Winter Wonderland in February was successful
( ~ 600 participants at events and restaurants). March Lucky You
underway.
We will assess impact with our businesses.
Vibrant Main Street
Review of Main Street survey and recommendations to BB Borough
Council on 2/14. Agreement to support future actions with Mayor and
Council members.
Off season activities in February and March a priority. Super Heroes ,
Bradley Cinema and Wellness at the James Bradley very well received.
Plans for summer to begin.
Community Connections and Resident Engagement
Support of non profits reviewed.
New event Tour de Bradley 4/20 Bike Cruise reviewed. Very exciting .
Mission and Organization Impact
Financial status strong, with sponsorships received and pledged.
BBBCA will publish annual 2024 Community Events calendar, which we
compiled, on our website in March.
Board Meeting 4/19/24
The Board reviewed and discussed 2024 Borough Memorandum of
Agreement and 2024 Borough Resolution on 2024 Events, scheduled for
4/24/24 Council meeting.
The Board reviewed status of five 2024 Goals.
Membership Growth, Benefits and Involvement
Goal is 260, growth from 230 as of 12/31/23. Actual 245. Outreach
strategies include new home owners, event attendees and new Young
Professionals Network, launching on 5/23 with event at UVA.
Small Business Success
Boost Bradley Beach continues, and Business Liaisons are active
connecting with businesses. Networking sessions held on 3/30 and 4/9.
Vibrant Main Street
Main Street recommendations to be part of Mayor’s Main Street
TaskForce with Council, businesses and Alliance rep, Ed Mulligan.
Plans for summer reviewed, including efforts to connect Main Street
to Beach.
Community Connections
Update on support of non profits. New Teen Career Program
launched by BBBCA with Rec Center.
John Weber, Oceana , presented membership to the BBBCA for
the National Business Coalition for the Oceans and Business Alliance for
Protecting the Atlantic Ocean , 501c3’s. The Board approved.
Organization and Mission Impact
New BBBCA Facebook page launched, Celebrate Local.
Financials and funding update presented with positive status.
The BBBCA posted 2024 Community Events calendar on our
website, and Borough has home page link.
Board Meeting 5/17/24
The Board reviewed Borough Memorandum of Understanding and
Council approval of 2024 Events with a one time $2500 deposit. We will
track charges and hope for a partial reimbursement.
The Board reviewed Alliance Week 6/1-6/8 Events.
Market success on May 11 discussed . All events will be reviewed for
2025.
The Board reviewed status of five 2024 goals:
Membership Growth, Benefits and Involvement
Current members 246 with some renewal risks. Will continue outreach
efforts including Young Professionals Network and new idea for new
member sign on discounts by Board member businesses.
Small Business Success
Boost Bradley Beach and Business Liaison outreach continues. We will
purse sun card drawing for June.
Vibrant Main Street
Review of progress with Mayor Council Committee on Main Street
improvements.
Summer plans underway to connect Main Street businesses to Beach.
Community Connections and Resident Engagement
Review of activities with BBES, PTA, Teen Career Program, Fire and First
Aid.
Organization and Mission Impact
Review of Communications and Financials , which are on track for 2024.
Board Meeting 6/21/24
The Board reviewed signed Borough Memorandum of Understanding for
2024 and Borough plans to revise Ordinance on special events to
recognize BB organizations like BBBCA.
The Board reviewed successful Alliance Week 6/1-6/8, with diverse
events engaging Council and 300 plus residents.
The Board reviewed status of 2024 Goals:
Membership Growth, Benefits , Engagement
Current 247 members, a growth of 17 since 2023 with 95% resident
renewal and 88% business renewal. Strategies include second 7/24 New
Member event at UVA Tiki Bar , Young Professionals Network, new
Member offer by Board businesses.
Small Business Success
The Board discussed a second half year emphasis to businesses on
Boost Bradley Beach promotion, support, grants and discounts. Business
liaisons will continue outreach. Business communications a priority.
Vibrant Main Street
The Board reviewed involvement on Main Street Committee with Ed
Mulligan.
The Board discussed summer plans to support businesses on Main
Street.
Community Connections and Resident Engagement
The Board reviewed continuing efforts with BBES, PTA, First Aid and
Fire .
The Summer Solstice Member Event kicked off Virtual Caring Wall in
support of First Aid and Fire 501c3’s.
The Holiday Giving Drive chaired by Dana Malanga and Katie
Sorensen will be launched with BBES and Committee by 9/24.
Organization and Mission Impact
Communications efforts were reviewed .
Financial status and break even goal reviewed.
Board Meeting 7/19/24
The Board reviewed 2024 results to date and five key goals.
Membership
Current members 249 with renewals risks. Overall 95% renewal. Goal
is 260. Continued outreach for new members via event participants ,
Young Professionals and new member event 7/24/24. Discussion on Meet
the Business Owner event with resident members.
Small Business Success
Continued outreach by Business Liaisons. July Business Newsletter
focused on benefits and services.
Visits made to 10 businesses with State liaison , Kathy Guzman , to
discuss grant opportunities. Three strong business opportunities.
Vibrant Main Street
Review of Borough Committee on Main Street Improvements. Expect to
see recommendations to Council shortly . BBBCA to support bench
fundraising.
Review of Summer promotion of businesses at Riley Park concerts and
beachfront. Tourism banners are connecting Main Street businesses, as
suggested by BBBCA.
Main Street Market now has Farmers produce .
Discussion on October Restaurant Row promotion and potential events.
Community Connections
Review of support of First Aid and Fire volunteer organizations. Over
$11,000 raised to date in summer campaign- Virtual Giving Wall.
Fall activities with BBES and PTA.
Mission and Organization Impact
Review of Monmouth County donation of 5000 print pieces- Shop Local
Brochures , Business Rack Cards and Pads. Christine Dickler created. Will
be distributed to businesses and used at events.
Review of financials and actions required to breakeven in 2024 as well
as 2025.
Board Meeting 8/16/24
Discussion on Board and Alliance Advisors(51) and participation.
The Board reviewed 2024 Goals and Plans.
Membership
Currently 250- 255 Members , as five renewals pending. Review of
renewal and new member recruiting strategies. Overall renewal at 90% -
95%. Goal is 260 vs 230 in 2023.
Small Business Success
Review of Boost Bradley Beach for August and September. Discussion
about Business Liaisons, new Business Resource Guide and offers of
support.
Agreement to continue to promote value added membership and benefits
and engagement. Suggestion to schedule quarterly meetings for Business
Networking in advance for 2025. Also, our membership survey in October
will provide important feedback.
Vibrant Main Street
Update on Main Street Committee and plans for benches as initial
action to unify town look.
Review of summer actions to connect Main Street to beach and Riley
Park concerts. Summer busier this year!
Discussion about October Restaurant Row month. Plan to use card
contest and extensive promotion plus flyer.
Community Connections and Resident Engagement
Review of town and non profit partnerships , programs and fall events.

Review of Board planning for 2025, including ByLaws requirement to solicit
self nominations with three member endorsements and Board nominations,
culminating in ballot to Members by 12/22 and voting for Annual Meeting in
1/27/25.

2025 Planning
The Board reviewed proposed 2025 Plan including Priorities and Events in
detail . The Board will review proposed 2025 Plan at December Board
Meeting.

Review of Board Expectations and Agreement for 2025 and Ballot.
Two new Board members Sharyn Infanti and Patrick Parker nominated .
Ballot posted for 2025 with 14 Members.
Review of 2024 Results , and achievement of most strategies in our five goals.
